LTL Carrier News: New England Motor Freight Update

We want to make you aware that New England Motor Freight Inc., a major player in the competitive New York regional trucking market, sought bankruptcy protection Monday and intends to wind down operations. It is the largest trucking bankruptcy since 2002, when Consolidated Freightways abruptly shut down.  NEMF has indicated a desire for an orderly shutdown of operations. Effective immediately, no new tenders will be accepted for NEMF.  Fortunately, for Sunset and our customers, no shipments are currently in transit with NEMF.

Sunset Transportation has one of the most diverse LTL carrier portfolios in the industry and pricing with carriers, both regional and national, who service the Northeast that are available today for all customers to use. Let us be the right size 3PL for you.
