Sunset Utilizes Carrier Onboarding System to Decrease Potential Fraud
ST. LOUIS, MO—Sunset Transportation, a third-party logistics company (3PL), has integrated its TMS system, McLeod Software, with Registry Monitoring Insurance Services (RMIS) Carrier Registration Services (CRS), a carrier qualification and onboarding product. The integration with RMIS allows Sunset to effectively qualify carriers with less risk of fraudulent activity and more expedited onboarding times. Carriers must input valid information to pass through the system, and will have an extremely challenging time properly completing the process if they are not legitimate because of the level of detail required and safety checks put into place. This integration increases Sunset and their customer’s levels of safety even further. “Our top priority is keeping our customer’s shipments safe. To do this, we must ensure that every shipment is hauled by a carrier with a valid authority, whose safety ratings, scores, and experience prove they can handle the job, and can safely transport the shipment,” said Vicky Hammond, Safety Manager at Sunset Transportation. “By moving to this new system, we can quickly weed out fraudulent carriers more quickly, with less manual effort,” said Hammond.
Not only does the CRS Service increase safety levels, but allows for the seamless onboarding of carriers at a rapid rate. Sunset can bring on more carriers at a higher level of safety, with less effort. This allows more time to be spent on customer and carrier support services.
Sunset has also reduced the amount of paper used in the entire building by almost 50% by going to this web-based system. Sunset wants to continue to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible, so this was a major step in being environmentally conscientious.
