Sunset Transportation Named Top 10 3PL Provider, Rising to #8 on National List

Inbound Logistics readers, shippers, and logistics professionals have voted Sunset Transportation into the #8 spot on the 2019 list of elite 3PL providers.

ST. LOUIS, MO – Sunset Transportation, a privately-owned third-party logistics company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, was voted into the Inbound Logistics Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards for the second time in two years, landing in #8 spot alongside 12 global logistics industry leaders. (number includes ties).

Sunset’s appearance in the top 10 was determined by supply chain professionals, customers, and Inbound Logistics readers based on the hallmarks of premium service: attentiveness, reliability, flexibility, and ability to execute. An all-time high 18,000 ballots were submitted this year for over 300 3PL companies. Sunset is proud to have moved up two spots from #10 in 2018, paving the way for service and accountability to truly be recognized on an even playing field alongside behemoth 3PLS.

IL editors chose Sunset because its solutions create cost savings and efficiencies across the entire value chain, and help solve specific logistics challenges and improve processes.

“We place the highest value on relationships and service. We’re proud to compete on a larger scale among the bigger relic players by bringing a fresh attitude and family-style culture.”, says Chief Operating Officer and second-generation owner, Lindsey Graves.

Sunset understands that the global market can sometimes be difficult for shippers to manage, and it is dedicated to continually evolving to meet those challenges.

“We see the need for more robust options and knowledge when crossing borders, especially in a turbulent time for foreign trade,” continues Graves. “In 2019, Sunset is bringing our seventh branch office to fruition in Laredo, Texas/Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, with cross-border solutions, Mexico and U.S. customs clearance, warehousing, and transloading access.

“We now have the capability to manage customers’ international shipments with complete supply chain visibility and control, including customs expertise we believe to be unparalleled in the 3PL space,” she notes.

Sunset’s customers are a crucial part of earning this distinction, with testimonies submitted that elaborate on our service promises. “The Sunset team has been integral in streamlining our supply chain, including placing one of their expert senior account managers on-site to ensure we’re receiving the highest level of customer service and attention,” said Brian Kearins, Sunset customer and COO of the Tacony Corporation.
